Well to be honest if I wasn't so bored and I could get to sleep I guess I would have never gotten round to typing out this at all. XD

Well even though this event was at the end of April and most people who know about the game knows what happened in it. O.o

It all started a few days before the Nats as I was going up to them with a friend and the night before I stayed at his and we had a few games and my deck was working fine. So I was hoping to do well or at least to break the middle... So after going sleep late and waking up early only to play more Yugi and get food we got a taxi mid day to the train station and then sat on the train for a boring 2 hours or so until we came to Sheffield. So we were in the city hosting the nats this year and our taxi from the station to the hotel came to about £10... -.-" It wasn't that far out either to our hotel... So we dumped our stuff in the hotel and went back to town spending much less this time on a bus ride into town.

We then got lost there looking for Patriot games. Mainly due to me being bad at directions. Though we found it only to spend about 20 minutes in there and for me to pull a Charge of the light bregade. (I was quite happy with this.) So we went to the hotel once again but this time taking the tram lines back. 4 forms of transport in one day.. Aren't we cool. Back at the hotel we picked up our decks and headed back to patriot games and met people there and had a few games before heading back to the hotel once again. We were meant to be going out that night but the people bailed on us. -.- So we stayed in the hotel and had a few games of yugi testing our decks more and making changes. At that time my deck had gone sour until I made more changes which seemed to make it happy again. So to sleep we went.

Waking up early enough the next day to reg. for the tournament we sat about waiting for other friends to come and meet us. So that I could get some cards to help my deck a little more. They finally got there after about 2 hours or Me and Dave waiting on them.

So anyway the tournament started not too much longer after they got there... There were some fun facts given at the opening speach by the head judge and the main one was that the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG is classed as a sport. Yeah that's right a sport. I am even cooler now that I play a sport at a national level. Soon after the tournament start with our jugde saying "It's time to duel!!!" Yeah Groovy no?

But that was where most of my real fun playing ended after I just kept running into GB decks... The worst deck type for me to play.. So after a lot of bad topdecks on my part and good draws on theirs I ended up losing 4 games in a row.. My motovation all but gone I threw in the towl and dropped from the tournament. It wasn't that my deck wasn't working.. I just wasn't having any luck at all.. In fact the only times I did win was outside the tournament.. I didn't do to bad then as I beat a few really good players. o.o!

And Dave dropped the round after me and we then went to get some food and get ready for the night out... Which didn't go well at all... -.- Started out with the same people bailing out again.. But we went into the town anyway to try and have some fun and that didn't work as we couldn't find anywhere to go... Spending over £20 just looking and still failing we called it quits after 3 hours and went to the hotel... But the trip back to the hotel was more fun as we walked back not wanting to be ripped off in a taxi... So we walked and wow.. It was a lot further than we thought... It took us 2 hours to get back. But the bonus is we followed the bus route back from Sheffield to our hotel.. The number 69 bus. Oh yeah.. I mean it the 69 guided us back to the hotel.. We saw some very creappy buildings.. One which looked like it was crying blood.. Now that is creappy at 2 am when it is freezing and no one is around. So when we did get back to the hotel I fell on my bed and nearly passed out... But I had to take my shoes off only to notice I had cut my foot open. -.- Yay blood... So a quick wash for me and then "ZzZzZzZzZz" I went until the morning...

So once awake it was time for a shower and then check out. Which we did and then made our way back to the yugi nats to see how it was doing.. Only to find out if we had carried on in day 1 we could have made it to day 2. >.< As a lot of people dropped. Oh well it happens.. But we stayed until the semi finals with some friends only to leave before the semi's started as it was getting to 5pm and I didn't really want to miss our train. So a quick stop at KFC and to the train station we went... Just about catching a train back and then making back to stoke at 7ish... Then once in I looked at who won the nats.. Thought it would be nice to know seeing as I was at the event. XD And then A sat at the comp for a while and crashed to sleep ending the story of the UK Yugi nationals for me. I hope to go back though.
